The full Sweet Southern Schnauzers puppy contract, signed at pick-up. Outlines health guarantees, care expectations, and ownership terms.
For puppies sold with breeding rights. Includes breeding soundness guarantee, responsible breeding requirements, and all standard ownership terms.
We are dedicated to improving the Miniature Schnauzer through responsible breeding practices. Every breeding decision is made with the long-term health, structure, temperament, and quality of the breed in mind.
Breeding dogs are carefully evaluated and DNA tested through Embark or equivalent testing. Puppies offered with breeding rights will be clear of breed-specific genetic diseases whenever possible. Health, structure, and genetics always come before color trends.
Sweet Southern Schnauzers reserves the right to retain any puppy that may strengthen or improve our program. All breeding decisions are made with the future of our bloodlines and the breed in mind.
Puppies are placed in approved breeding homes or pet homes. Not every puppy will be offered with breeding rights. Pet puppies are sold strictly as companions with no breeding rights.
We work with breeders who share similar values and standards. Breeding rights will only be sold to breeders willing to offer breeding rights in return, supporting fair and ethical partnerships.
We treat others the way we want and expect to be treated. Respect, honesty, and professionalism are expected when interacting with our program.
We provide honest information regarding health testing, genetics, program policies, and puppy expectations so buyers can make informed decisions.
We take lifelong responsibility for the dogs we produce and expect to be contacted if an owner can no longer keep their dog.
Our dogs receive proper care, veterinary support, and socialization. They are valued members of our program and family.
Our policies and contracts are designed to protect our dogs, our buyers, and the future of the Miniature Schnauzer breed.
Big things are happening at Sweet Southern Schnauzers as we continue improving our program and bringing in new lines. Our goal is simple: produce beautiful, healthy Miniature Schnauzers while always doing what is best for the breed. While being a carrier of a genetic trait does not make a dog faulty and does not mean they will ever be affected, we are choosing to hold our breeding prospects to the highest standard possible as we continue strengthening our bloodlines.
Going forward:
We know color is a big part of what people love about this breed — and we love the flashy colors too! However, we believe strong genetics, health, and quality bloodlines must always come first. By focusing on clear genetics and responsible breeding decisions, we can continue producing beautiful, healthy dogs for both families and fellow breeders. Thank you for supporting our vision and helping us continue building the very best here at Sweet Southern Schnauzers.
As responsible breeders, our goal is always to continue improving the quality, health, and structure of our program for the future of the breed. Because of this, we reserve the right to retain any puppy from any litter if we believe that puppy has the potential to better our program. Occasionally, this may mean that reservations have to be moved or adjusted. While deposits are non-refundable, we are always happy to move a reservation to another available puppy, a future litter, or a repeat breeding. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding when these situations arise. Every decision we make is done with careful thought and with the long-term improvement of our program in mind. Thank you all for your continued support and understanding.
